Troubleshoot Tummy Time

What to expect: We will discuss your birth, your child’s developmental history, and the tummy time concern.
You will learn and implement the TummyTime!™ Method, which addresses any underlying issues and ensures your baby feels safe and ready to play in all positions.

This consult is for any pre-crawling infant (at least 2 weeks old) who:

  • fusses or cries consistently during tummy time

  • arches back consistently

  • has difficulty turning their head side to side or to one specific side

  • is unable to touch their face or mouth with a hand while in tummy time

  • spends less than 10 minutes per day doing tummy time

Infant Development Consult

What to expect: Prior to our consult, I will review your intake form and request baseline pictures of flat spots (if indicated). During the consult, we will discuss your child’s developmental history and your primary concerns. I will observe your child’s movement patterns and strength while engaged in directed play activities. From there, I will guide you through relevant stretches and/or strengthening, purposeful play activities, and environmental set up. I will recommend developmentally stimulating routines and habits to foster development.

These consults are for:

  • Rolling: An infant unable to roll in both directions by 6 months

  • Sitting:

    • Not independently sitting by 7 months

    • Unable to get into or out of sitting independently by 8 months

  • Crawling: Not yet crawling at 10 month

  • Walking: Not yet walking at 15 month

  • An infant with neck tightness or side turn preference (or diagnosis of torticollis)

  • An infant with a noticeable flat spot on their head (plagiocephaly) and is less than 4 months old

Along with addressing your main concern, I provide expert guidance on developmental toys, “containers”, swaddles (infant sleep in general), and developmental norms.

Do you take insurance?

I can utilize your out-of-network insurance benefits, after the session and upon request, I can provide you with a “superbill”. This is receipt that you submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Can I use my HSA/FSA card?

Yes, we accept both HSA and FSA payments.
